Excerpt from Spinal Tap's "Unwigged & Unplugged," the concert DVD that goes to 11. Christopher Guest, Michael Mckean, and Harry Shearer live in Milwaukee on the final date of their 2009 acoustic tour. "Clam Caravan" was originally from Nigel Tufnel's hard-to-find solo record, and this live version features an exceptional solo from Mr Guest. The 2-hour-plus DVD (available from Courgette Records)...

Shhh. Listen. Excerpted from Spinal Tap's "Unwigged & Unplugged, the concert DVD that goes to 11. Christopher Guest, Michael Mckean, and Harry Shearer live in Milwaukee on the final date of their 2009 acoustic tour. This is a special 3D version of the historic "Flower People" - Tap's first single from 1967. The DVD continues in this vein for 2 hours, and is available from Courgette Records. The...
Sensational songwriters, all.
Spinal Tap RULES!!!
Christopher Guest looks younger here than he did when they appeared on SNlL in 1984
Umm excuse me?
My god, Christopher looks nothing like the movie XD It took me a second to realize it was him.
Best Sabbath cover ever. Geezer would be proud.
The Folksmen! Brilliant
All I can hear is Principal Skinner harmonising. 😂
The music written by these gentlemen, starting with their work on "This is Spinal Tap", not to mention the brilliant characters they created alomg with the ingenious ad-libbed dialogue which brought them all to life, is pure brilliance. Absolutely remarkable. ALL of Chris Guest's films are fantastic, but next to 'Spinal Tap', "A Mighty Wind" is a close second.
Don't worry about Boston, it's not a big college town.
Someone give the guy at 17 seconds in a big tube of sunscreen.
Nigel can play like he has six fingers.
I would have loved to see this live.
I was at one of the 5 concerts at Earls Court they did in May 1975, not certain which one. I’d just turned 17. Great memories!
Did they come out of the Earl's Court TARDIS, or did you?
Great to see them.
Did they say “bum’s the word?”
*Calm Caravan Ignore the typo.
Mums the world. Number 1
If I didn't know who the performers were, I would never have known this was meant to be a parody. Very well done!👏👏 👏
Would love to hear Big Bottom
Wow, I love this!!!
Definitely recorded in dubly 😂
'He was a typo. Don't be so negative' deserved a bigger laugh!
How bad can something suck? The answer is as bad as that tune - nothing can suck any worse 🧟♀️
Check out David Mayfield and the Parade covering this pearl.
Is it just me, or does Christopher Guest (with this hairstyle) look a bit like Patrick Fabian in Better Call Saul?
Horrific tune 🤪
Goshm I wish they'd release both the audio and the actual full performance of this on digital platforms.
I think its great that these dudes were actors and somehow got this whole thing together over the years. I even turned my kids into Spinal Tap fans. The only other music typ movies I remember Micheal McKeon in was "Light of Day" and Lenny and the Squigtones from Laverne and Shirley
Impeccable tuned instruments.
they are masters at writing these hokey little numbers and it's always perfect lmao. this is very reminiscent of what they did in A Mighty Wind. they could have even used this one for that movie
oh boy
You are a HS freshman in 1975, and at the bus stop, the stoners that are seniors and juniors cannot talking about listening to this song in someone's darkened basement.
I can relate. I never did no wandering either.
This is Spinal Folk.
STONEHENGE!
The guy in the middle looks a lot the like the guy from Lenny and The Squigtones... one of my other favorite bands.
I seriously like their version of Start Me Up better than the Rolling Stones.....ua-cam.com/video/yGqo_yFQoU8/v-deo.html
Amazingly wanderless.
Crazy that they are good 🤣
Outstanding
When everything goes 100% to perfection, that's when it really goes wrong for the Tap.
Thank God they didn't have an exploding percussionist... this time!
Chuck was never comfortable around electrified instruments. Eventually he couldn't even handle the stage lights.
🤣🤣🤣✅❤️
"a sailor's life is a life for him, never was for me..." hahaha
The best fake band ever
Anyone who knows me knows I'm a full Folksmen-head
This blows my mind...that i wasn't there. I was living an hour north of Milwaukee at the time...
Impressive. Most Impressive.
